Aymeric Laporte injured his left knee during a game against Al-Nassr, causing concern for Spain football boss Luis de la Fuente.

Marca reported on Saturday that Spain coach Luis de la Fuente was concerned about Aymeric Laporte’s injury. Saying he could follow in the footsteps of Rodrigo Hernandez, Rodri and Dani Carvajal on the sidelines. 

Laporte has been a key part of De La Fuente’s Spain squad alongside Robin Le Norman. While the Atletico Madrid defender is recovering from a head injury before the Spain boss received further bad news from Saudi Arabia.UFABET 

Laporte reportedly played just 35 minutes of Al-Nassr’s 3-3 draw with Al-Kholoud. As the 30-year-old centre-back picked up a left knee injury, although there were some positive signs. That Laporte was able to walk off the pitch on his own. But the former Man City defender still needs to undergo a more detailed assessment of his injury.

When asked whether he would pick up the phone if Madrid called, he said: “Obviously, you don’t look down on teams like Real Madrid.”

Laporte, who won Euro 2024 with Spain in the summer, has a contract with Al Nassr through June 2026. However, he has reiterated his desire to return to Europe.
